Thank you!

In the past 2 days since we announced our little blog we have had nearly 500 visitors. We are so overwhelmed by your love and support! Keep coming around and keeping us accountable and motivated. We have some big plans for posts coming soon!

It's crazy that this was 18 years ago and even more crazy that we still feel like we're 18 years old!
Back in 1996, we took a trip to Europe with American Music Abroad.
We had been volleyball & choir buddies during high school, but this trip helped us get to know each other better.
And who would've thought that 16 years later, we would both be married mother's of 4 living on opposite sides of the country and embarking on a weight loss journey together!
But that is exactly what's happening and we couldn't be more excited about it!!

So, this is me. I'm a 35 year old wife to my sweet hubby of 11 years, mother of 4 absolutely precious children, Catholic youth minister, preschool teacher, and natural light photographer who was born & raised in Southern California, but is now living in South Carolina. {Did you catch all that?!?!}
Over this past year I've gone from Diet Coke to water, lots of TV to lots of working out, from doubt in myself to admiration of what my body can do & from 222 lbs. to 172 lbs.
In my quest to lose 70lbs., I have lost 50 of them. I'm on a journey, not just to lose weight but to find the best part of me so I can be the best for my family.
Thankfully I have my good friend Robyn on this journey to keep me accountable.
We'll be blogging our progress and our set backs. Our highs and lows. The beginning, the end and ALL of the in between. This is our time!

I am a 35 year old stay at home, home school mom to the 4 most wonderful children that have ever been. They are my life and priority. I am striving to teach them to be the best people they can be and they make the world a better place. I married my best friend 12 years ago. We moved to Gilbert, AZ 3 years ago after living in Southern California our entire lives. It's been quite an adjustment. I am a Mormon. I love the color pink, fake nails, reality tv, family time, and date night with the hubby. I never have enough time to craft and sew but wish I did. :) I lost 120 pounds and then found 75 of them again. I want to be the best version of myself: healthy, happy, and an example to my kids. I want to wear a bathing suit without embarrassment (okay that's sort of a lot to ask for). I want a pair of designer jeans in size 10. I'm so thankful for this blog. For Hope's support and for all of you who follow and support our journey. I didn't reach my goal of 70 pounds down in 2013. But, I'm not giving up. I'm reevaluating, I'm bending at it, sweating at it, and smiling at it too. My body is a temple. :) I'm excited to share this journey with you.
